Republican congressional candidate Wil Armstrong has hired Jack Stansbery as his campaign manager.
Stansbery spent 2006 running the operations of the train wreck that was the Trailhead Group (now defunct), the 527 committee charged with winning back seats for Republicans across Colorado. We all know how that turned out. Hopefully for Armstrong, Stansbery will be better-suited to a bruising Republican primary in CO-6 than he was in handling Trailhead’s operations.
Armstrong was the last of the three major candidates in CO-6 (assuming you still consider Ted Harvey to be a “major” candidate, which we really don’t anymore) whose leadership was made known. Harvey’s campaign is being run by Jon Hotaling of Doug Lamborn fame, and Mike Coffman’s campaign is being overseen by Phaseline Strategies, of…of…of some kind of fame.
